Why it’s important to keep your kids active during the summer holidays

 

A recent study regarding children’s health has suggested that kids can lose up to 80% of their fitness during the summer months when on holiday from school. This has rattled parents and organisations alike who are finding it increasingly difficult to find ways to keep children active. A study conducted by UK Active on 400 pupils found that after the holidays children were unable to exert themselves for as long before having to stop from being exhausted. The long term health benefits of term time exercise are lost almost entirely if children don’t engage in their recommended 60 minutes of activity each day.
